Published Date: June 28, 2011
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Michigan Snowmobile Drag Racing Association, in a joint effort with Infinity Raceway, is very pleased to announce that the MSDRA Fall Nationals will be held over the weekend of October 14-16 at the Infinity Raceway grass drag racing track in Mancelona, MI. The MSDRA Fall Nationals will be the final event for their 2011 Grass Drag Season, and promises to be one of the biggest, fastest, and richest snowmobile grass drags in the Great Lakes Region in several years. Infinity will also be hosting a large vendor display and swap meet area, that will be held in conjunction with the MSDRA Fall Nationals grass drag racing.
Infinity Raceway is a purpose-built snowmobile drag racing facility just outside of Mancelona, MI which hosts both grass and snow drags. Pictures and details of the facility can be found at www.infinityraceway.com. The crew at Infinity has been busy putting in a new hard clay starting line on their grass drag track, specifically for the Fall Nationals, and per MSDRA's request. MSDRA Board Member Joe Riccardi recently inspected the progress at Infinity, and had this to say:
"I must say this is got to be the best built facility that I've seen. The clay being trucked is the hard blue type that will make for a very fast track. The guys at Infinity are committed to making this the best track in North America, and the MSDRA is extremely excited to host and sanction a world-class grass drag at this track!"
In addition to the brand new clay starting line, Infinity Raceway boast the following amenities:
4 - 25' wide racing lanes
500' of racing surface with 1750' of Shutdown for a total length of 2250'
4 Lane Race America Timing System
2 6' Starting Line Trees
4 Lane Race America Score Board
All Track Officials use Racing Electronics Headsets for full communication
State of the art P/A System that can be heard from All Areas on the Facility
Wireless FM Transmitting so you can listen to the Announcer on FM Radio
2 Story Starting Line Tower
Over 30,000 Watts of Lighting for Night Time Racing
Full Fencing around the racing surface with a 25' setback for safety makes this a closed course racing facility
Tech Building
Registration Building
MSDRA Board Member and veteran drag race announcer Chris Riley joined Riccardi with praise for the Infinity Track. "I stopped by Infinity to take a look at the facility last March, and was completely blown away by what I saw. This track has everything a racer or sanctioning body could ask for, and is by far the most complete purpose-built snowmobile drag racing facility I've seen in the States or Canada. It's really, really cool!
The MSDRA crew has hit the ground running on the Fall Nationals, and is aggressively pursuing sponsorship partners to ensure that the racing purse for this World Class Grass Drag will meet the associations established high standards. Prospective sponsors that would like to be part of this innovative and exciting snowmobile event are encouraged to contact any of the MSDRA Board Members, to discuss packages and strategies that will provide the maximum consumer impact for your sponsorship dollar.
