Could not find a thread that specifically talked only about the rear suspension in the MTX/MTL. What I'm looking for are facts/opinions on the following(let me know if I overlooked anything):
Rear Top shock length: 17.5"
- compatible with most any shock, known to be compatible with SC10 III
shocks
Rear Top shock settings:
- Unknow yet, I'm still using stock but looking for an upgrade, prolly a
Fox clicker. Suggestions for Ditchbanging would be nice, I usually set
them super stiff at back them off as needed. A little worried about
rear suspension failure.
Rear Spring:
- Stock is a 1800 as I recall
- Optional 2300 and 2500(in sno-cross option package) springs
Rear Spring Setting:
- I currently use the 2500 adn while it doesn't seem to overwhelm the
stock shock, I'm sure it stresses it. I weigh 250lb dressed and push
the sled to the max and the rear bottoms out rarely but its still possible.
Rear block:
- Standard block has three settings: Soft, Medium, Hard
- I currently use hard with the 2500 spring, seems to be the best combo
for hard riding/big air
- Optional X-Block has 4 setttings. Is their hardest setting firmer than
the hard setting on the stock block?
Front Rear Shock:
- Length: ?
- Spring: ?
- Optional shocks ?
Rear skid:
- I run the additional set of wheels on the front of the track and they
seem to help with wear alot. Getting 2k miles on slides.
- I clipped the stock Maverick track to 1.7" This seems to have helped
alot on getting more snow on the slides, no breaking off lugs anymore,
performs better on the trails, can't really tell in the powder.
- Need more info on how to fix/strengthen the rear skid to prevent
damage/failure
Please add if you know more. I am able to readily find rear shock replacements, just not rear front shocks.

Fox makes a Zero-pro for the Center position(rear front). Stock torsion springs are 1700, GT is 2100, FX/RTX/standard 2500. Center spring is ~35% lighter than short track sleds, so are the front springs. There are also Ohlins available for the rear skid.
