08' RTX about 6k and the brakes haven't felt good for a while. Pads look good and still stops ok I guess it's more an issue of lever travel than anything else. Any suggestions? Change fluid? Bleed brakes? Any help would be appreciated.

It could be the master cylinder. Some of the old Arctic Cats would have this problem. I would check to see if there is a rebuild kit for it, or buy a different one.
What happens is, the brake fluid seeps past the piston in the master cylinder when you are on the brakes, causing the "mushy" feeling.
Also check the fluid level, and bleed the brakes, since those are two easy checks.

Also check the brake hose ....make sure it's not swelled up any where ....may have spilt inside the hose and that will make it mushy too....
I have seen this happen before

Thanks guys I bought fluid last weekend level looks good, but I'll start with bleeding them, in my spare time while I'm doing exhaust doughnuts tonight. Thanks again.

You can try a fluid change first if you want. Otherwise, replace the line and the fluid will need to be changed then anyways.
