well I couldn't sleep,I can't wait to pick up the machine,I was looking around some and notice some possible suspension problems ,does the 04 Warrior have them, where exactly would I bee looking for the stress cracks in the skid housing.a photo would be great, because I don't have a clue where or what is under that machine..I don't even know what shock or suspension is under there.I'm going up today or Saturday to make the deal and just want to make sure all is good..one more thing,is that "I need a fix" thread carburetor a common problem?I own a Yamaha FJR 1300 and a hand full of the machine have a "ticking problem"bad valve guides,Yamaha took notice after a ton of these guys got together and complained,my bike is fine, must just be the luck of the draw I guess.I was just a little curious, other wise is there any other thing specifically I should be looking for on this used machine before I part with and $$$?any insight would be great..thanks again BTBG

Bruce,
Can't help ya with the question, but I need to talk to you next spring. I own a Honda CBR1100XX. AKA "Blackbird". Honda's big bore sport touring machine. But I reall like the looks of the FJR. Will need a report on it from you some day.
Do you ride the area in Albany? How about the ADK mountains. Route 10 is a blast!!!

Bruce,
The stress cracks can happen in the "W" arm. The "W" arm is the front arm in the rear suspension, the center shock and limiter straps are connected to it.
I have 2300 miles on my 05 warrior and my "w" arm is fine. I believe "LazyBastard" has said damage mainly occurs from excessive hard launches, but I could be wrong.
I don't believe the carb problem is that common. I never noticed it personally and my buddy with an 03 RX-1 never had the problem. My carb & engine performance is top notch.
Double check suspension settings and set them to your weight with gear and start from there.
The ski shocks and center shock are rebuildable and should be rebuilt if they never have been since new.
The rear shock is not rebuildable, depending on miles it may be ok or need to be replaced.

I'll take any photos of the skid if it's not too much of a problem..hey does this warrior come stock with hand warmers? I didn't ask what color it was.I'll be surprised.I'll keep you posted and thanks again BTBG
