First, your dealer may not sell you the 660 being you are 15, as they can be particular about the age thing......But anyway, the 660 will have no problems with that deep of water. You don't want to get water too close to the level of the bottom of the gas tank. There are intake and exhaust ports for the belt in the middle of the machine about the height of the top of the fenders, so you must be careful not to allow water in there when entering and exiting the stream. If it is a concern for you, Bayou Snorkels makes a really nice kit that will eliminate the worry of damaging your quad in water that is deeper. They make an intake for the motor as well.

Regardless of brand, you are looking a belt system for an automatic quad. Now with that being said, some models are more sealed than others. You'll fine with the crossing that you described.
Happy hunting and good luck

That being said, Yamaha's Ultramatic is far superior to the many other CVT drives on the market IMO. Constant belt tension is a really good feature.

Yup, No matter what brand you get you can only go so deep without snorkels. The grizzly 660 has no problem getting into water that goes well over half way up the tires. I have hammered mine through some of the roughest, rockiest, muddiest wettest, stump infested mountainous terrain in the adirondack mountains without any problems at all. In fact I have put 1600 miles on mine since May and every mile has been hard, I change my oil and keep my air filter clean and my quad far out performs my buddies 700 sportsman in the woods. He has about 4 or 5 mph on me on top end but thats the only thing his quad does better than mine and if I wanted to go fast up the road I would have kept my banshee.
get the grizzly, you won't be dissappointed!!!

I really like to get mine cleaned up after a ride, So I use vegetable oil before a muddy ride, and spray it under the fenders and skids to make the mud fall right off when washed....Makes it really nice, just keep it off of the pipe and brakes.

I wash the piss out of mine after every ride. You could open my garrage and not find a speck of mud on my quad when i rode it 90 miles through rough muddy trails the day before. Dont worry about washing it you wont hurt anything. I scrub mine. If I have used the winch I unwind it and wash the cable as I roll it back up . I take off some of the plastic and wash the motor, skid plates, radiator, etc.... I cover it with mud but I always take the time to fully clean it when Im done.

the part i was worried with was like getten water in the open areas under the fenders as some people say. let me make myself a little clearer. okay like if ur gona mud bog ur quad u put snorkles on. im talking about them areas that the snorks go on. see im afraid ill be washen it down and maybe spray water in them places accidently and then my belt slips or it cause probs.i dont mean to be a whinner but id like to kno a lot before i buy anything else this expensive. like my last quad. [mom got me a 2wd because she says she want let me go huntin back then when i bought it] but now i do go huntin and i cant make it thru some creeks and mud with the honda rancher 350 es. so it must be sold or handed down to my bro.the yammy dealer said if i bought the grizz he would take my rancher and try to sell her for me. but my mom says she wants to keep it. puuush... like she'll ever ride it.lol.
