Well I promised I would buy a sled with electric start so she could drive it. That dreaded day came last week and she took it while i was at work. She tipped it over twice, first time she said it was on it's side for 15 minutes shut off.

Second time I think she put the sled to the bar and it took off throwing her to the side. She got a bad smack out of it so I can't press her for details just glad she is ok.

Checked the oil its still full so the sled could not of been running upside down. Sub frame still looks good. It runs fine few screws missing out of the windshield and looks like the side cover got pushed into the brake rotor causing a little bump in it.

What else should I check?

ha ha, I here ya, my olady tips the apex over all the time. I finally just told her, thats fine. when it quits, I'll get another new one. she will need a second job, which gives her less time to roll it over. its a win/win

Maybe u should look at getting the wife a Phaser, the Nytro is not a sled for beginners. Lucky she didn't hurt herself. We came upon an accident site a few years ago where a woman was killed on an Indy 500. She had never driven a sled before. It wasn't pretty. Just my .02 worth, don't mean to preach to anyone. I've ridden and raced sleds for over 30 yrs, sometimes Nytro gets me in trouble. ;)!

Check the airbox for oil....it will leak into the airbox. I would also pop of the side panels an look down in the belly pan area for oil....other than that...guys roll and tip these sleds all the time so you should be ok...glad your wife is ok.

She did hurt herself, She's ok but took a bad fright and really sore. The sled is not for her but what can you do. She wanted to take it for a ride and I can't say no.
I seen the pictures they took before the accident and she was so proud to be driving that machine.

Is there anyway to get the breather box cover off without taking off the light pod? I seen two drops of oil on the foam inside the cover that's all i can find. If it was running up side down would oil be everywhere? Like i said I can't push her for details when she could of been seriously hurt.

She said it took a long time to start after the sled was put back up, I'm assuming the sled would not start till the oil ran back in the base.

Thanks

the light pod only takes a few seconds to take off, looks worse than it is, just 4 of those black fasteners and voila. What side did she flip it on? If it's running now, and you've checked the oil level and it's full...ride on and enjoy!

That's the side you want it on if your gonna flip it. It probably shut down down due to temperature and not oil level. Glad to hear your wiff is okay. Look at the bright side she probably won't be doing that again. lol

There is a drain in the air box on the RH (oil tank) side. If it leaked much oil into the air box, then it will drain out this hole and run down towards the belly pan. Sometimes the oil will get "blown back" on to the engine during riding and make it appear as if the lower right side of the crankcase is leaking oil.
If there is oil draining out of the air box, then you'll want to pull the air box cover and clean out the filter as mentioned above.
Other then the oil leaking out, the rest of the sled should be fine. Main thing is that your wife is ok ;)!

Thanks guys, I'll double check everything.

Now I just need to replace the screws in the windshield she lost, and keep my eyes open for a second smaller sled.
