during the first run this season my apex would shut down unexpectedly. would turn over but would not fire. I'll keep this short and say that I believe the problem was that I over filled the oil level. During one of the shut down sessions in a attempt to put gas directly into the throttle bodies I discovered lots of oil in the air box so I checked the oil level and it was way to full. Adjusted the oil level and no more shut downs. just want to share this experience incase anyone else runs into this problem.

the extra oil should not make a difference as it will just stay in the tank . the sump pit for the pump will only fill to a certain level no matter how much is in the tank .

if it's an 06.....some have had issue's with fuel pump relays....moisture gets into or something like that...

changed the relay, checked the fuel pump, checked the elect. system (bat and charging system) checked all the plug connections and applied elect. grease. I was riding in lots of powder and thought that the excess snow was causing a short, but it's a SNOWMOBILE so a little snow shouldn't bother anything. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything. I agree that too much oil shouldn't cause this but after 2 weeks of chasing a ghost, I adjusting the oil level it runs fine now (about 16 oz to much). If anyone else has had this type of problem, please let me know. I'm not ruleing out anything at this point.
