Can some one please tell me what the part number is for the plate that fits under the clutches on these 08 and 09 Nytro's. The one I'm talking about is the one that suppose to help with wet foot.
I'm ordering it through a friend of mine and not through a Yamaha Dealer so this is why I'm asking. I didn't see it listed on the parts fiche.

Well I need to do something for next year. I have good HMK Boa boots but the wet foot is a major issue. I pretty much trail ride and don't do a huge amount of off trail with the Nytro, I have another sled for that. But just trail riding after a 100 miles I can actually ring out the water in my sock. The bottom of my pants often have about 1 inch thick sheet of ice built up after each ride.
I was actually thinking about getting some pre filter material or aluminum and covering the inside of the foot well. Then adding a couple of inserts in the side panel to get the heat out.

I added the plate and closed off all the vents with pre filter and I mean all of them, every last one. Still had my leg covered in ice. This year I am sporting the klim gear neck to toe. I don't get the wet foot but am still covered in ice. I think that if a person can reoute the air more out the side instead of on your leg would make a difference.

I don't know what else they changed..but my foots never wet on my XTX.
BUT I did find a factory round hole between the clutches leading to the front heat exchanger. My guess this is where the water gets in.
Just solve the problem from where the water comes in

Hi
I have 09 XTX and still get a wet left foot. Found that the water is coming from the tunnel. I ride with my feet back gripping the tunnel. The water is melting from the exhaust and leaking out between the seat and the tunnel. This water soaks my pant legs and then weeps through my boot side which is a nylon fabric and into the boot liner.
I am going to try and caulk the gap between the seat and tunnel to prevent the water from coming out.
Good luck
