Right now, the trails/snow is down to almost nothing...it's been very warm all week. Since this is the only place in the state with any snow, traffic has been very concentrated on already poor trails.
Hard to say about next weekend, things can really turn around fast....have to wait and see.

The Munising area totally blows right now. No grooming and a hard icy base. All dirt in the corners where there are trees. Rode up to meet the TY guys for breakfast this A.M. (22 mi. ea. way)...........came home & parked it until we get at LEAST 6 to 8 fresh

buddah2 is right, I took the truck out and about today to look around and the trails took a beating.
If the groomers don't run before the trails freeze up it is going to be very very rough riding out there.

Just got back from Muni, stay home until they get a good foot of snow. Riding was great on Weds and Thurs but rain Thurs night-Friday morning really brought on a spring like feel to the area

Ck out Quebec last i heard they had 2 foot base, and my buddy called a hotel up there that has a heated garage for snowmobilers, if your going to kill all day in a car who cares about a few extra miles. if you are in n.y. it might be about the same distance. pm if you need more info.

Got back from Muni, the trails got better on Sunday and Monday. They are rideable, but far from perfect.

Just walked in the door from the Au-train/Sand River area. Did 711 miles in 3 days. Some really great riding west twards Grand Maris and even down to Seany but Seany was thin. Hit a freshly groomed 8 all the way back and it was like glass. 100MPH back home. All in all it was worth going. Was it the best riding I had up there? NO but it was by no means the worst. We were just glad we had decent temps and at least a 1" dusting for the trip to and from the trail. The Harvey trail is BARE and Marquetts is BAD because the lake is so warm that it has melted any snow right there along the lake where the trail is. That really was the only place that was really really bad.
If the temps stay down I say head out. I would think by the time you go there should be at least SOME sort of snowfall. Even a decent 6 inches would put it in half way decent shape. Some of the corners were ice but still...depending on where you ride it was excellent to poor. Thats why we just head out andf go in whatever direction that it seems the best that day! Saw the groomers every day.
BY THE WAY EVERYONE....
THE FILTER/CLUTCH KIT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT'S LIKE A WHOLE DIFFERENT SLED!!!!!
