The sensor is part of the stator wiring harness... So you'll be looking at replacing the stator.

I would recommend paying the exta $ and buy from Yamaha.We had 2 sleds from friends that they had replaced with rebuilt stators from Quebec and were always hard to start with having to hold wide open to start.Many times the battery didn't roll fast enough and they wouldn't start .We did some testing and after replacing the stators from the dealer problem solved !!!
