NEED HELP DECIDING..APEX RTX, GT OR ER..CONVERTING FROM REV

Fox floats might be light and nice.... UNTILL THEY BLOW OUT or leak air all the time and have to be pumped up all the time..

Have run thousands of miles on Fox floats, never had them "blow out" or leak, that is just a complete unsupported statement. Yamaha would not put them on a production unit if that was the case.

The Fox floats work great for soaking up big bumps and for aggressive riding. The Fox's anti-bottoming is better then any shock I have ever ridden with.

After reading the report, the GT is sounding sweeter and sweeter, but my other concern is the electronics on the rear shock and also, is the ER that much of a sleeper that never even made an appearance at the ride?

Well, after riding a few freinds RX1's and Warriors the past two seasons, and seeing what Yam is offering for 06, I've decided to switch over. I just sold my cat. I'm leaning towards the GT, but also considering the RTX. Plan to finalize my decision next week and put my money down!

Remember the Firecat crowd is a much different demographic, much younger. Based on that I am sure this group will take far better care of the Fox Floats and they will be fine, little maintanance and checks before riding goes a long way. Yamaha would not have put them on if the Fox experience with Cat had not been good, plus they learned a lot in that year. What I think is neat is that all the Apex are wired for the Ohlins E/C shock , just a plug in and go and the heat comtrols switch right over.

I have to agree, I have only heard of only one float failing and it was momentary. Less feedback through the bars. I am going with the Apex RTX and I won't be looking back.. ;)! Yamaha is running them on their race sleds. They must like something about them...

I am trying to decide between an Apex ER or Attack. I have an 03 shorty and have never had a modern 136. To be honest, I would go with the GT for the price, but I just don't like all black sleds. I have to believe the standard ER would be fine for my type of riding (mostly lakes and trail cruising). Does anybody have advice on how to decide between the Apex and the Attack?

I myself went with a Warrior only because the ride of my RX-1 sucked. From everyone I have talked to about the mono shock it appears it rides pretty damn good. With that being said I want to go back to the manuverability of a 121. With all of the goodies that come with the GT it's to hard for me to pass up. Just look how much those shocks cost if you wanted to buy them seperately :ORC
