I am about going nuts, I have a bent right hand spindle (steering knuckle) and yamaha has none. They say they won't have any tell FEBUARY 27. :die And wouldn't you know it, its snowing like a mother and my sled is down. I can't believe it #$%&* .

This being my first YAMAHA, I am really beginning to get upset with it, in all of years owning POLARIS, I have never been left with a down machine more than a two days. Now I am supposed to be down for over 2 1/2 weeks, i don't think so.

So my question of help is, would any of you guys be willing to check with your dealers to see if they have any available. And shoot me there address, I just am really wanting to get this thing up and running.

Thanks for your help,

Dustin

get a hold of a yamaha dealer close to you in canada we have current stock on the right hand spindle
part number 8GL-23502 289.38$ I think is the price

I'll have one in 7 days. If it is the right side when you are sitting on the sled. Check your lower a-arm closely as well. I have a whole front end on its way. If you want it it's yours.

My buddy has been waiting for a spindle and a sub frame for over a month now. Needless to say he wished he would have kept the rage for one more year and gotten the updated XTX next year.

Guys are all these bent parts from hitting something good?

Skydog P.S. Let your Dealers know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my buddy wasn't sure when it happened. Thats the scary part. But then again he rides it WOT over everything. I am just hoping this subframe doesn't end up being like the flying nun on the Rev's and susceptible to minor hits. Looks like they re-designed the spindle for '09 which shows they were a bad design. I see race sleds and a few prepared for the irondog that have beefed up spindles also.

So we 08 guys are going to have to buy the spindles out of pocket?

Skydog

I would guess it would be out of pocket money for 08 riders to get the updated spindle.

Mine was a light hit, I jumped about a 1 1/2 drift and landed a little on the right ski, I didn't think much of the hit at all. Then happen to notice the ski tip not pointing straight up.

So are you guys saying that the 09 spindles will work on the 08?

Man i have beat mine bad! jumping roads and all not one thing yet-----

I had thought that same thing, and then the light hit at just a little angle did mine in? :o|

My understanding is the spindles bend when impacted from the side. Mine are fine, nothing bent so far but it looks like the 09's will be machined aluminum rather than cast.

:D

I ended up plating mine kind of like that, and it is working, but I was concerned with snow packing in around the ball joint.
