If you're hooking straight to the battery, its under the airbox. If you want it switched on with the gauge pod, the relays are at your right knee.

I preferred to hook up to the jump-start extension cables, so that even if I shut the sled off, I can still check the GPS. I wired up a cig. lighter/acc. out let under the hood, because my GPS (Lowrance) has such a long wire that I wanted it tied up under the hood. This season I might get a handlebar bag and put the extra wire in there so I can put the acc. outlet on the dash somewhere. My mounting bracket was a large assembly that would have been hard to deal with, but I was able to disassemble it and seperate just the bracket the GPS mounts to, and mounted that to the left of the speedometer.

Hey Jim,
I just wondered how you did with this. I have been switching back and forth from a Garmin 3, 5 deluxe and my favorite the big color screen Street Pilot Deluxe. I went straight to the battery with an inline fuse with the round 4 pin plug.
I have used the handlebar and RAM mounts from

It worked great. The screen is a bit far away to read while riding, but you shouldn't really attempt to do that anyway. I usually just check it out at intersections to see where I am. I might try making a bracket for the handlebars when I get a new GPS. I was checking one out at Walmart, and although the unit itself is kind of large, the screen is larger also, so that would be great. It was a handheld, and pretty cheap...somewhere around $150.
As for where I have mine, I'll have to take pics next time the sled is in the garage.
