i am having issues with trying to get the reverse fork lined up on reverse gear. i changed track and trying to put things back together and it seems like when i put chaincase cover on my reverse linkage it to short now then if i make linkage longer it does not seem like it want to go all the way in reverse? i am not sure if it goes under gear or on top? my suspension is not in yet so i have not tried to start and put it into reverse. can anyone help me with this please. o torked dowm reverse gear to 40 foot pounds as per spec.

The fork will sit on top. It is hard to explain but you can feel it engage correctly when you push down it is kinda hard but springy

Like PP said . Pull the linkage are up slide cover on a bit at a time and you will feel it fall into place. Might have to wiggle the cover a bit. last one I did needed a bit to get into the final place. You will know it is right because the linkage arm will line up with the bolt just right.

Do not touch the adj.... You'll have to pull the cover again and drop the fork in the groove.

If your lower bolt it broken it makes getting the fork in even more of a pain in the #*$&@..but it is do-able. Took me 3-4 tries.

There is an art to dropping the fork in that groove.
I found it helps to physically disconnect the linkage from the sled without messing with the adjuster nuts (that's a different animal). When putting the cover back on, raise up the fork by pulling up on the linkage...BUT NOT FULLY UP UNTIL IT STOPS...maybe about 3/4 of it's travel.
Then all of a sudden the cover will slip on so easy...you'll think you didn't do it right, but put a couple of bolts in and tighten. Then hook the linkage back together and test it out.
If you messed around with the adjuster nuts already, you'll probably have to adjust one way or the other.
Test it out by turning the track by hand, both forward and reverse...then try it under power.
