Out here riding in the mountains and a buddy has a SC in his ApexMTN. We have ridden in ALL conditions over the past 4 days and his warning light would come on prettty regular. We have about 12 holes/ 6 on top and 6 bottom holes connected together increase hole size.
Packed snow on tank at least every 1/2 hour....any idea how to fix this? Running out of ideas....thought I wold post it here.

On my Stage-I
Added 2-TurboXS BOVs (1-Vortec BOV is now my preferred method)
(Note1: BOV should be open at 5-8" vacuum in the SC application)
(Note2: My BOVs are set at 4" vacuum, personal preference)
Added Cold Air Intake
Added Intercooler Fan
Reduced the pulley overdrive ratio 26/22 to 26/24 (150,000 compressor rpm)
Results were:
NO compessor surge in any throttle position !!!
Intercooler does not blow off (eliminates 15+lb boost spikes on throttle chop)
Easier to clutch
Better fuel mileage (less air requires less fuel)
No more SC overtemp lights
100+*F reduction in intake temps
No more SC belt cog wear
Gobs more horsepower and smoother on/off throttle transitions
On the Stage-II
Rotrex 30-64/74 the maximum compressor speed is 120,000 rpm
(A) The 30-64/74s are internally overdriven 9.49:1 (Cannot be changed)
(B) 26/22 pulleys is a 1.181:1 ratio (Can be changed with pulleys)
(C) Engine Rpm (Can be changed with clutching/gearing)
Example: (A)x(B)x(C) must equal less than 120,000
9.49 x 1.181 x 10,500 = 117,680 (this is perfect)
9.49 x 1.181 x 11,000 = 123,284 (should not be run but ok for short 500’-660’drags)
9.49 x 1.181 x 11,200 = 125,526 (if it hits the rev-limiter you’re way off)

I couldn't have said it better myself.
You said it, the Vortech Race bypass is better suited for these guys.
Nich job Hammer.

Thanks guys....I'll pass this on to my bud. We did actually call MPI and they said that the sesnsor might be reading too early so mounting an oil temp guage might give a better indication of heat. He just changed the pulley which might actually explain the problem that Hammer indicated. Thanks guys.
Thank you Mr JannettyNich job Hammer
