My brothers 04 Rx-warrior needs all new bearings in all of the bogie wheels..
Does anyone know the part number for the bearings?? (ones from yamaha are $20 each) so that i can cross them over to a much cheaper brand
Do all of the wheels use the same Part number? im wondering if those small wheels at the top of the suspension have the same bearings as the large top wheels
Thanks

According to the parts catalog, the only replaceable bearings on that skid ARE the little upper wheels, and they're 6004's.
Note that the upper little wheels are the ONLY bearings on that skid that are not molded into the wheels, so the reason the others are so expensive is that they come with wheels. Might want to upgrade to conventional wheels while you're at it so that next time its cheaper.
If the other wheels had replaceable bearings, their part numbers would be 6004 (for 5"), 6204 (for 7"), 6205 (for upper big wheels). Actually, come to think of it, the upper big wheels are probably replaceable, just not listed. Same with the middle 7" wheel (except that oddly, it should have a 6004 instead of the normal 6204).
The wheels I recommend as replacements are the older aluminum hubbed with rubber wheels off (for example) an 87 Exciter. 7" part number: 8K2-47530-00-00 + clip: 99009-47500-00, 5" wheel: 87M-47320-00-00 + clip: 99009-42500-00.

Oh yeah, don't go too cheap... I tried that once and they had really bad seals... every one of them was shot by the end of the season. Might go with the NTN blue seal "formula" bearings, they've always lasted great for me (I have a set on a sled from over 10 years ago, zero maintenance and they're still filled with grease and spin perfectly smooth. I would call them middle of the road quality, fairly inexpensive.

We ordered the TWO rear 7" wheels for the rear as they were molded..
the lower inside wheels are replaceable ( i just dont know the bearing numbers)
im pretty sure the two larger upper wheels have replaceable bearings also..
Im not sure on the 4 front lower wheels, they might be molded (too bad i dont have the sled here in front of me)

we had purchase some of those cheap bearings from ebay too a few years ago, and too found out that they go bad very quickly
We are going to use a common brand that the dealer carries and they seem to last a long time..

when you get the new bearings take the seal off one side and check for grease. add if needed. some bearings have next to nothing.

Welt - the 6 wheels on the bottom of the skid (front 4 outer and 2 inner) that are roughly 5" in diameter should use a 6205 bearing and the rear middle wheel (7" diameter) should use a 6004 bearing. The rear outer 7"wheels have molded over bearings (non-replaceable) but it you previously replaced them they will also use a 6004 bearing. The upper two 7" wheels will use a 6205 and the two front upper 3" wheels use a 6004. Hope this helps! Give me a call if you need them as we stock these and sell a quality aftermarket replacement.

ditto to port-parts....just did my whole skid and they are all replaceable (ie. removable bearings) EXCEPT the 2 outside rears (which are molded in!!!)....and those are the right bearing #'s too, but you already knew that! lol

I just purchase 4 of these wheels. 2 for the rear axle, and 2 for the rear upper suspension mount shaft.
Yamaha P/N- SMA-BILWH-5S-LG

The inner bearing diameter on the new wheel is not the same as the upper suspension mount shaft

I had changed my complete set of bearings a year ago. Instead of using the regular steel bearings, I went the extra mile and used all stainless steel bearings. I believe this might help to promote some longevity.
