I have a new 07 Apex about 400 miles and was working fine. Until last week riding in heavy wet snowstorm and it started running badly, backfire, wouldn't stay in boost, rough idle. While it was acting up I think I saw the LED toggle a red light on #4 and #7 on the controller. Before this the boost blue LED would come on with a little RPMs at idle, now nothing. I didn't do the install so I have no idea what to look for, could the controller be bad? any help is greatly appreciated. Thanx

check the s/c belt. sounds like you might have stripped the cogs off.fuel controller will throw too much fuel with no boost andno air gettin through thes/c itll run like that. if the blue light goes out after idle its not creating boost. check that first! second thing, check to see if you blew thethrottle bodie boots off the engine. this will act the same way.
Possibly lost the boost hose from the intercooler to the MPI controller. I am curious to hear what you found out.

I'd say water in the controller or other component.
The MPI instructions state do not operate vehicle if there is no blue LED ... no blue LED means no boost reference from intercooler ... meaning the controller would not add enough fuel as boost pressure rises ... this could actually cause you to lose an engine ... best case the line is pinched or came off and there was no damage ... a little worse than that you got the controller wet and burnt it up ... worse case scenario you damaged your engine from riding it in an overly lean condition ... I cover my controller with a plastic bag and rubber band if it has any chance of getting wet becuase of weather ... I also routed my boost reference line down the steering post inside some automotive rubber hose to protect it ... better safe than sorry. Before this the boost blue LED would come on with a little RPMs at idle, now nothing

This happened last season, thanks for the replys though. It was water in the controller, I do keep it water tight now, I like the hose protector idea too. I'm still using the same controller after sitting in the shop for a couple of days i guess it just dried out.
Thanks
