I'M LOOKING TO BUY A SET OF SLP TRI-KEEL SKIS BUT THE REP FROM THE FACTORY CLAIMS HE DOESN'T HAVE MOUNTING BRACKETS FOR YAMAHA 2008 AND NEWER.

WHAT ARE YOU GUYS USING? MAYBE SKI DOO'S

I HAVE A 2008 VECTOR AND 2008 NYTRO

THANKS DAN

Well guys i have contacted the rep for slp products and he claims they don't have a ski that will perform good for any 2008 and above yamaha's. I have inquired about the tri-keel , and the slt ski's and the answer was the same.
There ski will sit to high and cause to much ski pressure and hard steering.

Any body out there using any slp ski's???? And if so which one

Thanks Dan

I got the same story when I called SLP about mounting brackets. Of course this was after I purchased a set of Powder Pro's that the seller claimed would come with brackets made for an `09 Nytro. I didn't pursue the issue and instead modified the brackets that came included to better encase the rubber. Similar to the way the stock ski does.

It is true that the keel sits much lower than the stock ski, but this is remedied by changing suspension settings(spring preload for ex.), pretty much the same thing you would do with any ski.

Do some research on here, there are many people satisified with SLP ski's on thier `08 up Yamaha's, me included. I have some billet saddles in the works that should fit the ski rubber, spindles, and ski's properly without the need to modify the steel SLP saddles. Just bolt on and ride, of course you would still need to experiment with other susp settings. I will have pictures when completed.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply. Keep me posted on how every thing works this season. I have bought some Bergstrom triple points and will try these on the stock skis. I have experimented with my wifes C&A Razors but didn't like the feel. I will have to do a search on the RS section and see what results come up.

Thanks Dan
