My old sled has an electrical problem. 2001 SXR 700 lights go out and runs rough with high beam lights on. I installed the updated fuse & wiring near the end of last season but i took it for a ride today and it is still not fixed.
With high beam lights on gauges are dim, headlights are dim, runs rough and stalls out.

Had the exact same problem and had to change the voltage regulator and stator. I had high watt bulbs in the sled for a while and don't know if thats what hurt the charging system. Runs fine now and put the factory 55/60 watt bulbs back in.
