I hooked up some PIAA lights today; I took the plastic plugs off each of the lights so i was just left with the prongs on the end of the wires to plug into the light harness. One light worked fine, and the high beam switch turned it on and off, and then I plugged both lights in and they ran for a second and then shut off? Possible that I put the individual prongs in the wrong slot of the light harness? I also had to splice the two high beam wires that go to the guage to make them longer, possibly a short there? Blown fuse, or are there even any fuses? The lights are 55 watts so it shouldn't be a problem there? I'm definatley not an electrician, any help would be great.

After some more thought i think I may have plugged both lights into the high beam circuit and overloaded it, what do I need to replace?

fuses are right above the right foot-well.

Turned out be a blown fuse.
