Has anybody tried gearing these sleds up?
they are 21/40 stock. would like to try 22/40 or 23/40 would likely need to change the chain for 23/40

Also I see in the tech site, my nytro has 16mm rollers compared to 15.6 on vector and rage, is this better or worse?

:o|

everyone must be out on the trails.
vecter stock gears are 22/38 and from what I hear you might gain 5 mph top end.
I saw 107 on the dream meter of my 08 vecter GT on the grade last weekend.
acceleration of the vecter is good from corner to corner also. the stock chain should work.

try ulmer racing, they might be able to steer you in the right direction

22-40 works great.
There's alot to be gained with clutching on these sleds. The nytro has 15.6 rollers.

I've thought of doing this as well but I would hate to loose all that low end grunt for the trails.

I second the 22/40 gearing. You lose no bottom end grunt with just a little clutching. Gain on the top is hard to determine, but probably 2-3 mph

i have geared it up, really didn't see a difference when drag racing a couple of other nytro's... gears F/S ...pm me for more info

thanks for the replies.

I am going to try it. It seems the vectors and rages have taller gearing and are faster than the nytro's as well as better on gas.

The vectors are over geard and the nytro's could use a little more gear for over 1000ft runs.
21-38 or 22-40 works good.
With 21-38 I was still able to pull 111.9 actual mph 124 speedo.
