How big of a riser can I use with the stock cables and who makes a good riser for the money?

2" is all you need for a standard RX1 with stock seat. You wont have any cable problems. Rox pivot risers are the best for the money.
I chose a Lake Effect 2.5" and had to put on Apex MTN cables and brake line.

I went with a chux riser i have one on my rx and viper with both stock cables. just have to re-route a little with no problems...

I also went with Chux 2" Very good product no cable issues I also did the extra foam under the seat works very well good guy to deal with.

I used 3" Powermadd, bought the longer cables but didn't need them.

Lake Effect makes a damn nice riser!!!!
I have a Oles Machine riser on my RX. It has a 30deg cut on the bottom to make the steering more riderforward.
