my attak pushed real bad with the stock skis and carbides. i pulled the 05 mtn skis off my viper and put them on the attak (10" carbides, and shimmed bumpers) it corners good now, except it darts, the steering is too heavy and it has major inside ski lift (even with 12mm bar and transfer turned almost all the way down!) i really like these on the 136" viper, but not on this sled. any ski suggestions? i want light steering, no darting and better than stock cornering. what is the best for me? please nobody say c&a's either. i have a set on my polaris and they corner good, but they dart like mad and my arms are sore after 10 miles! thanks!

My Attak did the same thing. I put a pair of Simmons on. Shimmed them and set them parallel to one another. Problem solved, I love way he handled. No darting, easy steering and minimal push in the corners. Also great deep snow flotation.

SORRY BUT C&A's shimed properly, plus a fine weight transfer adjustment & A spring tension adjustment.
= ZERO DARTING, Steering like if it was POWER STEERING like on your Vehile & NO Ski Lift
Of Course this can be done with ANY SKI OF YOUR CHOICE
.......EVEN STOCK SKI's

Keeping in mine.....
....WHERE YOU RIDE, HOW YOU RIDE & SNOW CONDITIONS. As various skis work better than others in DIFFERENT snow condions for YOUR AREA or DRIVING STYLE.

ok, let me rephrase. not dart, but follow in other ski's grooves. i have tried everything with c&a's and the effort is high and they follow grooves like no other. and the limiters are all the way out and i tried every adjustment possible.

Mine have ZERO Darting, you just keep making small adjustments and YOU WILL get it
Even My Simmons Darted, till shimed and adjusted..........it can be frustrating but you got to keep at it.............Worth it in the end.
I did notice one thing this year at our TY Ride, almost everybody had SPECIALTY SKI's........SIMMONS, SLY DOGS, C&A's, PERCISIONS or MT's. Everybody had a darting issue of somekind, just depended WHO YOU WERE FOLLOWING
People who never had a darting problem before had to deal with the same ski's that they were running ahead of them
...............I think regular skis probably would work the best for those conditions, too mant FUNKY SKIS can really screw up things. I noticed most that are back riding their regular spots, and have seen their darting issues Vanish.
......You can always just use your stock skis.........but shim them

I have been running aset of precisions on my Attak. Most of the time they are great but sometimes they are hell. I would say they favor softer conditions. Fresh groomed firm conditions can get darty. They get fun when the trail gets those first bumps beginning. I am going to put some shims in for my next trip. May invest in a set of simmons for next season

Anybody try U.S.I.? A friend of mine put some on his F7 this year and he now swears by them. I like the design just not the cost. That goes for most any after market ski though.
