John , I would go ahead and book your room. The Comfort inn has a pretty forgiving cancellation policy, I think its like two days before. Most places are a week or two. A lot of people decide to go last minute and look for a roomie or ride sharing.


I was looking at your sled list in your signature, have you had any problems pulling the other 11 sleds around the trails with the Apex?? j/k post up some pics

I powder coated the suspention (front and rear)
painted the hood screens
changed ALL bushings
new slides and fluids
next week RIDE!!!!

i have pics at home but all of those sleds are gone except a couple polaris
by the way i go thru flint every day

Whats the far Cat, looks lilke maybe a 77-78 Jag? Grew up on the back of my neighbors 79 Jags, great times!
The first nice sled I bought was a 77 Eltigre 5000. Bought it around 86, looked almost new. First ride out I sunk it in a local creek at 1am. Had to go back the next morning and chip the ice from around the seat(the onlything sticking out) and drag it out.
Lesson learned: First snow doesnt equal good Ice!!

yea thats an 87 jag w/new paint and a 77 jag with 2 inces of suspension

Looking for probably 2 sleds & people for same trip, maybe 3. Leaving from I-75 Big Beaver area, Diesel Excursion and 4 place inline(see avatar ). Days are still up in the air as far as go up on Wed or Thursday night. Made it in 6 hrs last March , (including fuel and eats stops), great at night on weekdays, no traffic and perfect road conditions. Probably back on Sunday afternoon. Can't wait!
