I have a 2011 Vector LTX and in the process of ordering studs. Woddys claim 1.325 is the proper stud. Stud boy,Fast Trac, claim 1.375 is the proper one. Which is correct? Do I need any modifications to my standard tunnel protectors? Any help would be appreciated.ThanksIs there a difference between 2010 and 2011? Just reading a post below me

The difference between the two sizes is only 1/20 of an inch. The reason they recommend those particular sizes is because that's what they sell. Both are good studs so buy what you like.

Yes you will need additional protection because you WILL impact the rear cooler with EITHER size stud. If it was a shorty, than no, no additional protection needed with 1.325 studs. http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=88497

Yes! I have seen numerous Vector LTXs that had the rear exchanger impacted. Extra protection is fairly easy to install on these sleds.Canadian Viper said:So it really doesnt matter which size, I will need extra protection with both

I use Mack's studs with big nuts @1.325. My other studs tore part of the track out and poked a hole in the cooler. The big nuts don't break off or tare the track and I have not lost a single stud from Mac's in 2500 miles. On the other brand, I would loose 12 or so studs per season.
