I am going up north riding this sat. I need to beat an 2008 fst with some clutching done to it. I curantly have my primary machined so the sheeve gap is .020 to a new belt and 1/16 off sheeve so belt will ride higher in it and a secondary shimmed with 5/16 lock washer ,oso primary, white secondary at 70 deg twist , stock helix and a 23 tooth top gear . I am running a 1 inch 96 stud track, his is unstudded ripsaw. I don't have the abilty to do a test run due to lack of snow.before i go north .Is there any thing I should change with cluthing? or will this be ok.

What are your rpm,s right now? Can,t even guess at helping unless you know what rpm,s are at full throttle from a dead stop to flat out.
white secondary at 70 is a little much.

I have not tested this setup yet because of lack of snow . Every thing was stock before I just got done changing all this over. I was runing 9600 rpms stock then it would climb to 10200 . Do you sugest I go to 60 deg. or put the stock pink spring back in ? I was planing on bringing the pink spring with so i could change it out if need be.

TY 4 Stroke Master
I smoked a buddy with his FST 2 years in a row. Each year he claimed and hyped this new mapping that the factory put out. I just had my stock 03 Shorty the first year. The 2nd year I had long tracked it, with a 1 1/4 preditor track. Within five to ten feet I never saw him again. He won't even talk to me anymore, He claims that I'm the only guy to beat him, but I know of a few others. 700 sabre cat, 700 firs cat,800 rev. Hes just full of it. He is the fastest of ALL. My Apex would smokem even worse. I always tell him that four strokes just are not fast. You will have no Prob!!
