You can download a (non-printable) .pdf of the owner's manual from Yamaha's website.

Re: the rear shock, first thing you need to do is set the preload on the spring of the rear shock - it should have 40-45 mm of travel unloaded vs you sitting on it and it's explained here on TY4 and in the owner's manual. If you weigh more than about 220 with gear on, you may need to get a heavier spring to accomplish the appropriate preload setting. Additionally, there was a change in valving of that Ohlin EC shock from 06 to 07, so you may want to consider getting it revalved. The 07 valving works a lot better, they say.

As to adjusting, button #3 on the gauge (lower button) will change what the left hand control controls. It will cycle between EC shock and hand warmer. Push that gauge button, and when it displays the shock symbol, you can adjust compression damping with the blue rocker switch on the left grip. Pushing forward will make the shock firmer, pushing down will make it softer. I usually run my 07 with three bars showing. If the mogul get bigger, I might click it up to one or two bars above the middle. Your sled may be different because of its different valving on the shock, but same general idea. Don't forget you can also play with rebound damping by manuall adjusting the screw on the bottom of that shock. If you find that the electronic control doesn't seem to be working, look at the wiring to the shock. The 06's had a problem with ice buildup tearing the control wire of the rear shock. There was a recall for rerouting that wire.

Hey Big mac or anyone else,

When I push the mode button I lights up the hand warmer indicator and when I press again or again I never make the little shock indicator light up. Any suggustions? If that wire was broke in anyway would it not let the mode button switch to ec ?

Any info would be GREAT!

Correct.

Sounds like your wire is broken.

My brothers (06 GT) shock wire broke also. Do you guys recall what happens when the wire breaks. What I mean by that is...doesnt the shock go into the stiffest setting or does it stay at the setting when the wire broke? I told my brother I thought I read on here that it goes to the stiffest setting after a break.

Thankx Guys I'll take a look and see what I kind find tonight I'll keep you informed

Well guys looked tonight and found that the wire was broke right in half! and it's the short peice that come right out of the shock.

Can this short harness be replaced ? Can you unhook out of shock? is there a up date? Any info would be GREAT!

When mine broke the dealer gave me the new solinoid which has a few inches of wire harness that will plug right in. I have not replaced it yet because I'm not positive how to get the old solinoid out! I think its just a pry out!
As far as I could tell my shock stayed in the position it was in at the time the wire broke. Mine is at the middle position. Thats why I haven't been in a hurry to change out the solinoid.
