New 2010 Venture GT purchase questions/advice

Hello, I've decided its time to retire my 2000 Yamaha Venture and upgrade to a Still in crate 2010 Yamaha Venture GT 4 Stroke. My better half is tired of the gas and fumes from the old triple.
I'm pretty much dead set on a Yamaha. I initially wanted an apex, but I want to stick to a 2 up for the occasional rides with the 3 of us.
I did some research and noticed a few issues that worry me. I see issues with rapid slide(hyfax) wear and loud track noise and wind/cold issues for the passenger and tipping issues.
I also managed to find the weight on these sleds. Approx 760Lbs, I'm wondering if this is the right sled for me considering I do a significant amount of solo riding, more so then riding 2/3up.
Is this machine strictly trails only? Has anyone taken them off trails?
And how does it handle moguls/yes ma'ams for trail riding.
I'm 6'2, can I stand up and ride this machine? or siting only ?

Can I get some input or advise from some guys who have ventures and their personal experience.

I really want to stick to the Yamahas, my only other option would be a 2013 Skidoo Grand Touring.

I think you would be happy with the GT. I traded in an 05 RS Venture with over 18 k on it for an 11 Venture GT. I have about 6 k on the GT so far. I am 6'1 and can stand while riding if I need to. It is a little tippy, but you get used to it. I did put the Yamaha Mt skis on both of my Ventures to help them float a little better in the powder off trail. I ride solo most of the time. It takes the moguls and bumps great. I take my kids as passengers and they have not complained about wind. There is a track howl that you will get used to. As for the slide wear, they wear fast for the first couple hundred miles and then stop. I have the original set on my GT and went thru 2 sets on my RS Venture with over 18 k.

Overall this sled would be my choice over the skidoo Grand Touring.

The Venture TF is also an option and comes with the wider skis and tip up rear suspension for easier reversing. I can't comment on the rideability because I haven't redden it yet but the 1st ride is getting close now as it's been snowing here this weekend.
