Hey Guys, Sorry for these questions, they likely have been answered, but I've been searching and searching and not coming up with the any luck. I could use a point in the right direction if you know the answers.
My situation: I just purchacesed a brand new '11 XTX. end of season. I'm off an '06 RTX so most things are familiar.
#1 - Codes - I had new codes in the dash during Breakin - F0001, F00006, F00007. What do they mean?
#2 - from '11 to '12 the XTX skid had the front idlers moved on the skid by Yamaha at the factory. I have the micro fiche for the '11, but can anyone point me to the location for the update? Can I just move them? After doing this research I think I'll put the dupont slides on, but would like to be up to date on the idler wheel locations.
#3 - Rear Luggage. With the exhust now tucked in, if there was a strap around the bumper, it woudl likely be in the way of the pipes. the Yamaha accesories for the XTX don't show any updated trunk/saddle bags for the newer exhaust setup. I've seen the aftermarket that mounts to the tunnel with a heat shield, but I was wondering more about the bags I already have and if I can use them some how. There isn't many pics of bags setup on the x-xtx.- basically avoind the exhaust and the rear bumper.
I'm just about to do my breakin oil and filter. I see now there is a new oil trip meter, which needs to be reset. no questions here, nice to see some new things like that.
So far I love it. Extra track is nice, olny mod I've done is put the fox float2's on. some guidence would be nice on these other minor things.
Thanks.

hey there, the F codes are the miles you have gone since your fuel light came on.
LOL. I had the exact same "flip out" with the "F" codes. I will bet your fuel light went on when the F codes came on right? The F0005, F0006, etc. etc. means that you have gone 6 miles since the fuel light came on. The "F" code will count upwards once your fuel light comes on indicating how many miles you ahve gone since your fuel light came on. Once you fill up it will not show that any longer.

That was fast. That makes sense. It was showing F0000 when I picked up the machine and the fuel indicator was on. and the other times is when I was low on fuel. I hit the select button to see my mileage, to see how many miles I had on the tank....that's funny that hid it, basically to check what it was telling me!.. thanks guys, I guess it's in the fuel section of the manual.

I had a OIL 00000, pop up last week on my 11 Apex. No yellow warning. Turned out to be the oil change reminder. Freaked me out for 40kms lol.

not sure about the different wheel location on the 11 compared to the 12 but i added all 6 of the oversize lower idlers wheels that Royal sells ($26.99 each includes bearing)as well as 2 marginal wheel kits from Yamaha. I placed one set at the front in the bend and one right around the bumper/stop on the rail at the rear of the skid between the back outside idlers. i placed those ones towards the inside of the rail. haven't had any issues placing them there. i collapsed the suspension first to see where it comes down so i can place them where nothing can touch it . now i have no slider issues. i know i paid more then the dupont slides but those where not available at the time.
