Just bought my 15 yr old kid a leftover 15 viper and went for first ride. My SW BTX crapped out on me so i had to ride his viper mtx 153 to the truck 13 miles or so but thats another story lol. But his steering was unbelievably hard...just terrible. What are my options as someone has got to have figured this out. I read a little about front shock spring. The SW BTX feels so much better...cant believe what a difference. Is the 16 front end that much easier? It leans over easy enough, just way too much ski pressure. Appreciate any advice

Change that spring and check limiter setting should be second last hole for least ski pressure. Softer the better for rear shock in deep pow

Yes, the ski's and front suspension do make a big difference. Your Viper is actually lighter in the front with basically the same chassis, so in addition to the limiter/shock settings cannondale mentioned above I would also check the ski shock pressure as well.
