Ok anyone with experience with replacing the stock exhaust and clutch on your sled....

I just got the exhaust and clutch kit from hawk powersports and now im a little conserned with something... When i went to run my sled it starts up just fine but after a while and i take the choke off...it idles really low, to the point of dieing. I run the track for a little bit and it seems to idle a little better with a couple of burps here and there....Then if i were to really get on it nothing happens it just gurgles and almost dies again, but if i slowly, really slowly, give it gas it will clime in R's and just past 2g's it will sound better and and around 35 it will kick in but then at around 4 or 45 it start back fireing....

NOW...went to my local dealer and he thought it was as simple as replacing my plugs (i just did) but ok i'll go with that......maybe

I had a thought that it might be my jetting...when i purchased the set up i talked to my dealer and Hawk about rejetting and both of them said that you dont with the vectors....

Any thoughts?????

I was told not to run my new rage for short periods of time this summer just to hear it run....said it will at least fowl the plugs..not sure if this helps with your sled.

Bill-Bo's-Beauty,

When I purchased my Hauk exhaust they sold me a jet kit with it. I would recommend replacing the spark plugs, I believe that will solve your problem.

I have installed an Ulmer Stage 3 Clutch Kit, Hauk Exhaust and Green Carb Springs and this sled Rocks! ;)!

Oak - get your Mono skid in yet?

u do not need to rejet ur sled with an exhaust...since u r not touching the intake, now if u install filters or some tpi valves then yes rejet but if u just slap an exhaust on then dont bother...its not going to do anything
