Just wondering what are you guys doing to your sleds before winter starts up again? Like any mods or anything?

Im Going with a freestyle seat, Two brothers exhaust pipe, and hopefully nitrous with a clutch kit we will see how that works out. Will post pics up soon when i get the seat and exhaust done.

Would love to see what you other riders are doing

Thanks, Jake :4STroke:

Yikes, I have spent some money this off season.

Studded track
Powder coated rear bumper
Polished tunnel ext
Cut down windshield
Ordered Slydog Powder Hound skis

G.B.

Just simple stuff here: 2" Rox Pivot Riser, and a set of Sly Dog Powderhounds

I am thinking about possible idler upgrades, clutching, and those muffinworks tunnel stiffeners! (all depends on funding between now and snow fly)

How are those Sly Dog Powderhounds? Ive heard all good about them. I might have to try em out.

I haven't tried them yet, just got them this summer. I've also heard nothing but good. They are definiteyly wider than the stock skis so I shouldn't see the front end dive so much when I'm off the throttle in powder.

Nytro

Have done much to my Nytro this off season. Just powder coated my a-arms. Really looking at clutching it, but have not decided on what one and how much to spend. My dilema with that is I plan on getting rid of the sled near the end of this year season and buying an xtx. I do ride with two others on nytros though, so that is my big reason for wanting to upgrade the clutch. Your thoughts on what way to go? and is it really worth it?

;)!

Hmm ive heard alot of good things with clutch kits with these 3 holer sleds. I guess the clutches dont work well or in other words, doesnt put all the power to the ground. I think this would be a big leap in performance, and now your not going to waste any hp. Do some research, Ulmer racing i think has a great kit you can buy, and there is also some other kits out there that doesnt ring a bell yet. Youll find something.

Jake

I'll give another thumbs up for Ulmers Cluthing! Big difference with an Excell header and Ulmers clutching. My buddy and I have the same sled (06 Nytro) and we were always really close. Now I can put a couple of lengths on him in a hurry. It really makes it a riot to ride. Still isn't a speed demon, but it is very quick.

did or doing this summer:

C&A outlaws
shock covers
3 different windshields (depending on my mood or the weather)
12mm swaybar
reverse kit
revalve rear suspension
144 1.40" studs w/ tall nuts
all yellow plastic double backers
4th wheel kit
yellow skidplate
marginal snow wheel kit
slp anti-wear pads
probably more that i can't think of

all this and i haven't even rode it on snow yet..yikes

Ive been also thinking about a different swaybar, has anyone else tried this? This winter is going to be pretty harsh for my pocket. Im trying not to spend it all on accessories and save it up for fuel, that never works though lol :o|

lol...i too said I'm just going to ride this sled this year and decide what i think it needs...save $$ for gas that will be a good idea....then i go and buy all of this....thats the problem with buying a sled in May, you have all summer to buy accessories

as for the swaybar...I see dox06 is running the 12mm, njnytro is running the 13mm

just do a search on swaybar and you can find some reviews and comments on guys that have changed them....most say it is a change for the better (handling wise)

Yep thats exactly how it goes, i bought mine right in the beginning of the season and then ive just been getting more and more stuff. You cannot put a price on fun in my book! :4STroke:

Possibly a new seat for my 05 Vector. I need to do a search search here about putting an Apex seat on my Vector....read on another thread in this forum that it can be done.
