Should I use Locktite on the screws holding the sliders in? I haave some red on hand..

BTY once I figured out that a small oak board and a hammer to pound the old ones t it wasn't too bad, and the reverse method worked GREAT.

Just finished and I did use smoe blue locktight dang, when I loosened the track I turned each adjusting bolt out 15 full turns, now to tighten I only turned about 7.5 turns and I have about 3/4 inch of sag (no weight) I am thinking that is tight enough??

You are good to go!
I use blue loc-tite, I would not use the red one though. It can be hard enough to get that Phillips screw out without stripping it.
