Looking for a lighter and cooler helmet than my HJC IS-16, was looking at the Yamaha Klim F4 Helmet. What is your input?

I really like my klim helmet. Check out the 509 helmets too - a few people I ride with have them and really like them.

I have the 509 with the aviator goggles, best set-up I've ever had! And I wear prescription glasses.

I like the Klim a lot and recommend it. I've also heard the Fly Formula helmets are nice.

helmet
I also have the F4 helmet...I find it a very good helmet...I wore a Zeus Motocross style before the F4, and I was crucified with the exhaust drone from my Apex. With the F4 I don't have that issue..Why I don't know....

the f4 will flow a ton of air, when it gets colder out you can install the wind-stopper liner that comes with the helmet.
I use 509 sinisters with it. They fit pretty good but with a little trimming on the nose gaurd and a little extra foam added in the corners it fits PERFECT! I wear this set-up with nothing on my head or face down to about zero degrees. Eric

Got the 509 Evolution Helmet and Aviator Goggles. They fit perfectly together and look awesome! So many compliments and people asking where I got them.

IAVECTORGT...you comfortably wear prescription glasses under your Aviators? Any fogging?

klim
i have klim helmet and like it, the reason you don't here drone is i think because of so much air passing through.
what does the visor really do?

I also have a HJC IS-16 helmet, and was looking for a lighter cooler helmet before last season.
I went with the 509 with sinister goggles. This was my first MX style helmet, I tried many helmets on in the process too.
I have been really happy with the 509 set up, the goggles fit really nicely in the helmet face, and in general fits great. I have ridden in single digits with it without being windblasted to death, Klim covert balaclava and a turtle fleece neck collar did great. I dont even get fogging issues with the goggles while riding. I get some fog when I stop, but its gone within 30 yards of moving again. great ventilation.
My 509 is my go to helmet unless really cold and some night rides for the electric shield in some conditions. it is much lighter, I can hear so much better too with it. It did take some getting used to the wind noise, and the visor aerodyanamics since I hadnt had one before.
