Hey just joined the forum but have been lurking awhile reading all the helpful posts.
I own a 2003 RX-1 bought used last year but only made it to the trail once last winter due to a severe lack of snow.
Decided to do an oil change this year since I have no idea when or if it was done last.
All that went fine but noticed a few broken hoses sitting on top of the carbs. Pretty sure I didn't break them.
I have attached two pictures. Could anyone tell me there purpose and if their condition will cause any issues?
s

Thank you.

Thank
Those look like the Vent lines to me.. where are they coming from? Are all 4 lines from the fuel pump connected to the carbs?

I believe all lines from pump to carb are fine. Sled runs fine.
I assumed they where vent lines. The two clear ones dont seem to go anywhere. Not connected at either end.
I also noticed that it looks like a joining piece of hose is missing between two of the carbs. (first pic).

There is no connection between the two carbs at that point. Looks like it, but no. The two vent lines plug into the black lines that you can see in the picture. You have them reversed. You can see the brass coupling in the clear hose on one and in the black hose on the other. Do yourself a favor and find some clear tubing that fits OVER both those hoses and use that to join clear to black. Those little brass couplings suck. The other end of the hose just feeds down the side of the engine into an empty spot. Just a vent.

Ok that makes sense.
Thanks for the help.
I have some clear tube around somewhere. Looks like an easy fix.

You're welcome. Did you clean your carbs? Don't be fooled by a good idle in the garage.

No havent cleaned them.
Ran fuel stabilizer in the fall and i find that helps a lot.
Ran fine last winter and started ok this winter so far.
Plan on adding a can of Seafoam to the tank before i hit the trail.
