If they are blow molded they are hollow, not necessarily a bad thing if they are designed properly.

OH come on.....sneak sneak...yadda yadda
PLEASE give us something to go on. I'm on the verge of dropping 500.00 of my hard earned dollars on a set of Simmons Gen 2 ski's but really only want something about 8.5" or 9" wide.
I would gladly wait if I had something solid to wait on. MAN give us some real info, is this the new Mountain ski and is it designed to provide better flotation, is it 9" wide front and back? Please help me make the decision to buy or wait.....thanks appreciate your help!

Maybe it's just me, but these look a lot like the camoplast skis from the pics i've seen, with different detail on top.

Maybe Camoplast is making them for Yamaha?

Nice post with the pictures, so what's do you think? Roughly the same design?

If you compared them with BETHEVIPER's pictures there not the same mold at all. Kimpex don't look parabolic, no "grooves" on top and they don't have the twin tip finish at the end. Perhaps made by Camoplast for Yamaha but that's it?

Maybe its just me but the frenzy over these new skis almost seems laughable . As long as Yamaha keeps making the best quality , most bullet proof sleds on the market I could care less what kind of ski they throw on it . We're all just gonna buy sleds and rip em apart and make them what we want anyway . Now if they figured out a way to cut the cost of them by a third or more then that would get me pumped !

Please, let it be known, these are not my pictures, I lifted them from another post. Sorry to whoever took the pictures, I forgot where I got them to give credit.
I like the channels underneath, it will give better floatation than a flat bottom, the deap keel should help in a turn. single carbide is disapointing but there are enough repairs for that issue. I like that the carbide is shielded in the front. I do not like how the handle looks though.

I think the point is if your spending that much on a sled, it should come with better skis...... You should not have to go out and procure after market ones. JMO anyways.....

I checked again with the local dealer and they still have zero information on it. They actually took my photocopy of the pics and info from page 2 of this thread. Nothing at all in the database yet.
