Hey, I just purchased a 2008 Nytro RTX from a friend. 3000 miles, all stock, mint condition. I rode it a few times last year. The motor on thing is amazing. I'd like to do whatever I can to improve the handling. I need to replace the carbides. The local dealer had Woodys dual 4" carbides. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Any other things to look out for? No snow in sight so I have lots of time to get it ready!

hey where ya from, its a site rule to have your location listed.

There are so many things you can do to these to make them "ideal" for your particular riding style read around and use the search function.

I haven't logged enough miles on mine yet to tell you what is a must but I'm sure you will get some great ideas from the members here that have rode enough and do know what works. Let us know how and where you ride, that might help narrow it down to a few must haves. For me the skies and riser were a must and this summer I put on the oft relocate for the steering and from what I can tell from sitting on it I will like it a lot. Have fun with the new ride.

Sorry, SW Ontario, it wouldn't let me put where I am during the registration process.

I mostly just ride groomed trails. No mountain stuff, drag racing or jumping.

It's up to you how much and when you want to spend. If it where me I would ride it first to see where you need to improve it. Maybe the front end needs bushings, of stuff like that. I spent money on the riser and bars first and put the C&A skies on because I had them. From everything I read I think skies would be first and spend time with the set up once we get snow.

I would start with the OFT relocator, it makes a ton of improvements on steering travel and effort as well as corrects some geometry issues.

First things first here, take some time and look through the sticky section. That will help you a ton. Next thing I would do is just get the suspension set up and toe it out 1/4 or 1/2. That alone will help a lot in the handling dept. and all the testing has been done for you. After that just ride it and determine what you want to mod from there. This is what I did last year and I had a blast on it. Its easy to read this forum and get sucked into doing all the mods, I think most of us on here can admit to that first hand :jump:

For the carbides, I didn't have very good luck with dual carbides . Pushed really bad for me and very unpredictable! But some guys love them and if you do get them I would get something bigger then 4".

Things to look out for would be bent sub frame, worn a arm bushings, ball joints, ski bushings, exhaust donuts.
