I see all the new nitro sleds come with tuner skis. finally, for the first time, yamaha will deliver a sled to the dealer that doesn't dart. First warm heand and now this, what is going on?????

I guess that's why you couldn't find a set of the Tuner skis this winter...they needed them for their demos this spring.

I have a feeling that all Nytros will have the MTX heat exchanger too, since it's on the 2013 XTX.

Maybe a lower price too?

I'm starting to think I might do that mod myself, since I'm starting to lean towards keeping the Nytro a while longer.

WHAT THE HELL!

The only changes for the nytro are skis and a track...This sucks! Those boys, in the development office, need to pick up their socks; they are getting left behind.

WE WANT SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT! A FACTORY INSTALLED TURBO AND CUT 40LBS.

NFLD-Nytro, I added the MTX cooler kit this year, huge improvement! I was out yesterday and never seen the temp light all day, last year I would have seen it about 6 times in the same conditions with the back country track. I definitely recommend adding the kit with the deep lug track.

How do the tuner skis perform? Im in the market for new skis

none to deliver yet. They are a copy of the arrows from kimpex, a little better looking in some ways, not as good looking in others.
Yamaha thought the best way to stay away from bad press on a ski was not to let anyone actually buy them. Just let them see pictures.

I do not get how people over heat? I have rode on ice and plus temps and have never seen the light come on. Weird..

Allot of ice forms around front heat exchanger/protectors and blocks fresh snow to be thrown at exchanger. Temp light comes on, but not necessary "over heating". Ride in warmer temps or on a bumpy trail, ice doesn't seem to get a chance to form. That's my theory anyways and not sure why the front rad on engine doesn't pick up the slack. I'm waiting for my light to just burn out.

I do not have protectors anymore so maybe that this why. I also hit lots of bumps on trails and or riding back country so maybe that is why.

Yeah I'm not studded anymore and I'll probably remove my protectors as well. Hope that does the trick.

loudelectronics, do you perchance have any added vents to your hood/panels? I'm just wondering if the tight fitting hood contributes to excessive under hood heat contributing to overheating.

Last Friday, I encountered some overheating, the first time since adding the MTX heat exchanger. I also have the Trailtank which may contribute to less airflow through the radiator.

I could 357km on in a day and wont have the light come on once.. Have any of you checked to see what the antifreeze is rated for .. Been known to have pure antifreeze and mine was one of them

I cut my antifreeze with water so freeze protection is at -40...stock I believe is -65. I also add Water wetter.
