If that muffler is sold by Yamaha, would it still be looked at as an aftermarket exhaust?

Good question...Would Yamaha warrenty it and would the local law ok it (db rating) since the manufacture sold it...?

$270 for 7lbs and no performance gains... I'd rather go to subway and eat veggie subs all week!

I agree with Prav...probably the biggest and cheapest weight saving is sitting on the seat or standing on the boards for most of us.

It doesn't say much for your mountain sleds when half of the mountain gear is different types of snobunjes. Stuck s*cks

I called Yamaha today and asked if they had any info on the new silencer. "no info at this time but keep checking the site for updates" is what i got. The guy did say it would be classed as a "stock replacement". To me, this means it will be just the same as an ultraQ... etc. Hopefully there will be a decibal rating that is associated with it.
