I had my shocks rebuilt & re-calibrated by Hygear.
I will write a report after new years if the #3 setting is "useable" since before it was only good if you were jumping at Caesar's Palace.
They claim the adjusters will be more like 1, 1.5, 2
I also had them put the Hygear dual-rate spring on center shock since mine broke.
Ya, i know, my 165 pound #*$&@ broke something else!
P.S: If you don't get the Caesar's Palace reference let me explain. That's where Evil Knievel jumped a lot of stuff & broke a lot of stuff cuz he didn't have QSR3's set on #3 to handle the impact of a HUGE jump.
i:e The #3 on the shocks are..................................USELESS

Shocks are like women.....both meant to be ridden hard and put away wet

Well i broke both of mine so i guess i ride hard.
I need to slow down, but rnusr01 aka: Rick peer pressured me into a Powertrail tune. So my suspension is now beefed up & re-calibrated for the onslaught of abuse and "hard riding".

Rick, we need to get your arse up to Maine so we can compare the calibrated Hygear shocks to your Axis shocks.
Then we can report to TY before other people re-mortgage their house to afford the $35,000 shocks.
While we're at it, we can compare Powertrail to Max Spool, your skis to Curves & studded to un-studded.
We have a responsibility to our TY brothers.
Plus when not riding snowmobiles we need to read & write about them to calm our brains...........or at least mine

I shared my thoughts on the Axis shocks with @**sj** a while back - in fairness I had the SE shocks, so definitely a far cry from the LE's - they're definitely better, but are they $4000 better? Hard for me to say they are. If I had the LE shocks I'd have done the same as Steve and just had them revalved, especially with the progressive rate springs they're going to be 95% as good as the Axis IMHO. As only an aggressive trail rider (like me) it's tough to really tell a major difference. Maybe if you jump a lot it's different.Rick, we need to get your arse up to Maine so we can compare the calibrated Hygear shocks to your Axis shocks.

Ya I was riding mine thru 3 footer whoops almost at 80 mph on the hill and was wondering why the springs broke, maybe because I weigh 280, oh maybe I’ll get axis shocks and try them on 4 footers , should be better, springs might hold up better,us throttle jockeys have to run hard you know. I might try six footers.

I figured if i ever ride with you, you'd turn up the volume to 270 and leave me in the dust.
Since i don't like dust, i tuned to Powertrail.
I'll still be 30 hp less, but being 40 pounds lighter & about 40 pounds worth of crazy i figure it will be good fight.
Plus BEERMAN said if i went with Powertrail, he'd let me drive his new 900 hp Jeep!
I cant find the BOV...........................
