New singleshot suspension any one tried it yet?

The single shot is exactly what we needed. I mean not many can say how it performs or wether or not it's durable but it's very similar to the Timbersled skid that people spend aftermarket money on. Also many of us love the Apex irregardless of the weight penalty and an evolved or even revolutionary apex replacement needs a lighter skid, among many other components. Reviewers have said the skid is better making the front geometry outdated. I hope they learned some lessons from the successful CC Nytro front end and the Procross ans deliver a better total package.

Up date called fox they recommended to drop the air pressure down to 150 and pump it up again. That made it worse now I can only get the shock to 220 now. Tried to move the shock up and down to see if that would help no luck. I am done back to the dealer it went I think there is something wrong with the valve.:letsnow::dunno:

To simply say that FOX used cheap seals on the unit is ridiculous.....

I don't think it's cheap anything it was the luck of the draw.

Happy Holidays :letsnow:;)!

BEfore we start bolting on the older sleds, lets first see if its that much of an improvement... tueseday will see

So super Rash, any comments on the Singleshot? Is is a drastic improvement from the previous suspension?

Super Rash, I got the info on the CMIQ site. Sorry to hear about your experience. I am sure you will enjoy the rest of the winter though.

Happy Holidays.

i am sorry to say, the singleshot suspension is no improvement over the monoshock supsension. I have had 2 previous apex's and one Vector, but all with coil over spring suspension front and back, and the Apex LE has the Fox Floats that unfortunatly ride super harsh, with little to no adjustments to be made..if less PSI is used, it bottoms out and the front is foggy difficult to control, if PSI is upped slightly, it becomes so harsh, and POGO like rebound is undrivable.. so beware, you will need to get another shock setup or drive only smooth trails..i am very disapointed at this situation, i much preferred the 2015 model i tried last year that had the basic coil over shocks on it.. i actually stopped riding after 100 miles and parked it.. it was a catastrophy...had a freind of mine on a BRP 800 ETEC and we switched a few times sleds, and he also has had 3 Apexs in the past , and he couldn't believe how harsh and crazy this suspension was... i wish i had better news, but at least if i speak out, others might be more cautious about this then i was, buying before trying..

I pick my 16 129" up on Wednesday don't know if ill be able to rid Xmas day 70 deg in NJ.

The floats on the front of my sled were transformed by the addition of Hygear's Dual Pressure Resi's. They are an easy install and wont break the bank. I have no experience with the rear suspension shock on your sled but know the fronts can be helped. Perhaps it can be added to the rear too??

It ticks me off to hear these things continue to be built with less than an excellent shock setup!

i have the full hugear package seems to work well

can't wait to see what others think, i average 5000 miles a year, change sleds each year, coming of a 1200 renegade X, 800 renegade X, F8 LXR, Vector LTX, Apex LTX, summit 600 sdi, ATTAK 2006, Dragon 700, and some polaris 700 twin in the Edge Chassis... but my first (and last) experience with Fox Floats... the 700 Dragon in 2009 had Ryde FX air shocks, and where also crap..so air reservoir unless multiple adjustments at all levels possibly, are just one dimensional... so not for me..
