I heard the whistling type sound too and posted about it in a different thread. I still say it is slightly turbocharged sled adding 20hp with regular gas.

supercharger over turbo times 1000000! i dont like one or the other any more (dad had/has both) but a supercharge runs waaay cooler, and is a much simpler concept, people could still buy a header and muffler for it aftermarket so there is more money for performance companies... my thought

Passion Yamaha in Quebec says they saw inside the hood area and the new motor is a 4 cyclinder. . They claim you could clearly see 4 pipes.

I do know that Yamaha has a 4 valve 4 cylinder they have been working on for the snowmobile division. More low and midrange outta the 4 valver.

2011 Apex= 1052 cc "EXUP" 4 into 1 exhaust with big can, lighter frame,"EPS" new ski's,new 128 Mono 2 skid,new secondary and 91 octane. definately 170hp to be released Tues It's gotta be.
