NEW SLED NOT A FOUR CYLINDER!!!

It's official. It's an advanced emersive computer simulator. No need to leave home or wait for snow to go sledding. Now THAT's a game changer.

It's solar and runs on the sun. The noise you hear is just a looped digital recording that is played for the rider to make him feel like he is on a sled...
Very strange to hear the WOT to idle sounds when it's just sitting there... :o| but hey...It's going to keep all the tree huggers happy. :-o

I don't think a v4 would be a good idea. Moves too much weight too far forward.

@snowho:
Your logic regarding engine speed and gear reduction is flawed. Could easily add gear reduction onto the 3-cyl and spin it faster. The 4-pipes thing does make sense though... of course on the proto, they could have put in a dummy pipe to throw everyone off.... lol.

Anyways, just to add my guess to the pot....
Dampened hydraulic drive with electronic valving (no more chaincase), throttle-by-wire, big rubber cooshy motor mounts to absorb all the engine vibrations. http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2007/ ... otorcycle/

Lazy, I did hear a rumor that Yammie was working on something like this a few years ago, you never know.

nice find, good write up

Yeah...sounds like it's a nice set up. I know I will want to ride one and try it. Who wouldn't? I bet this thing is going to be a dream to drive...

Very unlike Yamaha to allow pictures to be snapped and posted on the internet. Something tells me that is not it 100%.
Many times the OEMS will produce sleds with masked body parts or as hybirds of current models out on the
snow for testing on public grounds.

Phazer 4 stroke revs at 11,200 rpm and it is a two cylinder.

Heard from dealer it is the same motor with variable intake tuning,new exhaust and a few other tweaks. His rep did say it was quicker,lighter and faster than our current rides.
