Make sure your running good gas and proper flow. Sounds like your not getting enough gas to cylinder. Possible kinked fuel line?

That would be my best guess. Bad fuel.

Did a search on google and it brought me to an arctic cat forum - Others with the arctic act version have had issues with the throttle position sensor. I was just able to reproduce it in the garage. Looks like I need to tighten the throttle cable.

Yes that is exactly what I had to do to mine. You'll need to cut the tie wrap on the steering column holding multiple wires. You'll find a rubber boot, slide it upwards to reveal the metal cable adjuster. Adjust cable so it squeezes the small half bubble at the thumb throttle end.

Thanks, I'll have some time tomorrow to look at it, hopefully that will solve it.

Any time its backfires now is when my son doesn't press the shutoff button hard enough multiple times. Not sure why they went with this type of button instead of the classic kill switch used on all other snowmobiles for decades.

When the throttle isn’t tight enough it won’t push on the little button and the sled will die. If you follow the wires there is a plug under the hood, just unplug it.
