We got around 8" of new stuff since last week. It was still snowing on sunday when we ride from the south to St-Zénon. It was a little dark for the pics, but here we go...

On the 349 trail near Mandeville, they have a curious way to incline us to slow down...

We took a secondary trail (orange trail on the map) in the Mastigouche parc to go lunch at the Cabanon.

After refilling us and the sleds, we rode the #345 north and got on the 318 east trail in Mastigouche Park. It's fun trail to ride with good streches to open throttle a little and there is only little traffic so trail condition is perfect...

On this trail there's also this nice spot to take a break...

It's not big fall but just a cool place to strech one's leg in a good scenic place

Hi JROCK
Sorry for the delay, we were on a 4 days snowmobile trip up north in Abitibi area.

In lanaudiere we got rain on last Friday but the the temp dropped immediately after. We don't lost much snow and the groomers did their job and built us hard packed higway trails again so we still have great trail condition. http://www.snowmobilecountry.ca/en/inde ... umPage=235

I hope to keep good condition in north Lanaudiere for the next month or more if it is like last year, I made my last ride on the 19 april 2008 in St-Zenon !!!

Bye

OUR TRIP TO QUEBEC

We just got back from a week in Mont Laurier. The trails were overall good with a few of them a little bumpy due to rain / ice. No issues as expected did just under 1000 miles is 5 days.

Alain how are the trails your way? Still riding? Looking to get one more ride in before shes done. The website says there still open as of yesterday.

Hi JROCK

Did my last ride last sunday (15-3-09). Start from the south at St-Gabriel on #345 trail, ride to St-Zenon and keep the #345 to the taureau dam. We then take the #360 trail and headed to Mattawin for diner and did the same trail in the other way to come back, 240 miles of fun !!

There is plenty of snow but it is pretty warn and we have spring conditions. Very hard and dry trails in the morning and wet slushy after lunch. The trails suffered from the traffic pretty fast in these condition...

The weather is deceiving right now. The temp keep high and they preview some rain tomorroy... They told me at The Cabanon (It's them that groomed the area) that they will continue to groom as long as temperature permit it. At this time of the year, things change fast so the best for you to help you decide is to phone directly to the Cabanon: 450-884-5762 to know what grooming has been done before going there.

few pics of sunday... near the Cabanon...

I hope some colder temp and some snow to improve condition and to encourage clubs to keep grooming...

Bye
