I just wanted to say hello to everyone and let you know how helpful this forum was in helping me with my purchase decision.
I was about to pull the trigger on a Arctic Cat ZR6000 El Tigre when I found my 2014 Viper LTX being traded in by a 75 year old gentleman. He was buying a 2017 Viper STX for long touring in Quebec.
I bought the 2014 for the trade value plus a couple hundred and had dealer check it over and everything was maintained to perfection. It has 11,500 kms or approx. 7000miles and all updates done. I have replaced the monster windscreen with a mid sport in smoke, and added the hand guards.
I bought it because I am getting back into sledding and wanted something reliable, affordable to convince my wife of the fun.
I am adding some pics of pickup day. My old trailer was to short to get the viper in with the door shut, so I built this sled deck and made some modification to get the bed cover closed when not in use. As you can see it worked well and did not rip my bed apart and have to leave one ski cocked on the wheel well. $150 for the ramp and $90 in lumber and hardware. It will get me through this season until I can purchase a new trailer cheap in the summer. It made the 150 mile drive home without issue.

If anyone has advise please share. Snow is on the ground heading out soon.

I just brought a brand new 2016 sr viper ltx dx for 8999.00 so look around

FYI I paid $5300USD or Approx $7100CDN it has rouski wheels, Dupont sliders, two windshields tall and mid. Mirrors. 2016 flash, polished tunnel. and overall is in 9 out of 10 condition. Oil change was done and yearly service was included in price. Yamaha dealer (not selling dealer) was impressed. If it works well this year I will gift to my wife and buy another.

Yes that's taboo to look at prices after you bought. I usually say "I don't care and don't want to know!" out on trail always feels like best $ ever spent anyway. Always wondered if even millionaires can have as much fun if they don't ride!

Mr.bwok, two hours north west trails are starting to open maybe by end of weekend.
