t cats out the a$$ one rx1
I have had cats sense 96 and have been impressed with the rx 1 sense its birth. I have a few friends that ride these sleds and I've spent time on one last year. the sled has 20000 miles on it and was tight and fast. plus hes has years of time to tune the thing.its a 121. I just bought a 03 rx 1 with rev 3300 miles and in good shape except needs a track.$2500 us.
So my ? is do I go for the trax usa extension and go 136 or hang back? Also Im really not intrested in studding the thing but was thinking about the ice ripped. What about those?

Making it a 136 would help with it hooking up and if you put a Ice Ripped under it you would have good hook up on icy trails and stopping.

is there any problems with loosing studs?

It will lose the hole lug before the stud.

I have to dis agree on the loosing a lug with stud comment. I had one on my 05 war and there was about 10 of the studs missing with the lug fairly intact when I replaced the track on it at the beginning of the 2013 season.

ice ripper is a really good track and I liked how it planted itself/grabbed while trail riding.

if you are in there now to replace a track, might as well go 136" and get it over with if you want to any ways. I would recommend a set of extrovert drivers while you are in there as you usually have to run the track really tight without them because it will skip even at the proper tension when it hooks up hard from personal experience.

you should also run the stock warrior gearing as it will extend belt life and run better.

what is the stock gearing you speak of and the best sorce for the drivers? as for the 136, im gonna grab that next time around. Just getting to know this sled is gonna cost plenty.I plan on a new seat and riser, sway bar and the air box mod.
I have a set of fox float 2s off my T cat that I think may fit. also some powder pro skies that I ordered the adapter kit for.
So Im thinking the next track change will be the 136 job.

Have Ice Attack track now for two years, extremely happy so far. No stud loss, and they are still sharp after 4000 miles. Extending your RX1 will only make it heavier and push in the corners. Leaving it 121" will keep it more nimble, faster, and more fun to ride. Save your money, and put it where it matters. Just go for a Camoplast prestudded track, SnowTracker aggressive carbides, and possibly the 13 mm antisway bar and oilite front end bushings and you should be good. There are always places to spend your hard earned dollars, you might as well get improvements that you will notice on the trails.

as you are in the us, Hartman or tracks usa would be a good place to start. there are others that sell them but I only know a few of the us vendors.

04/05 rxwar was geared down 1 tooth compared to the rx1. lots of guys geared the rx1 the same for better corner to corner performance.

Nice and thanks for that info.where is the best place to get extrovert drivers,Do you just press them on to the existing shaft? I get my stuff from automatic distributors as Im a dealer

I been looking for those drivers. Not sure where to get them. waul bro.?

Ulmer Racing in the U.S. has Wahl extrovert drivers. Super Sprockets is another brand.

Thanks, Lots of good stuff on here.
