i wanted to ask. I am not cotimplating running a gear that small, but looking in the TY gearing tech info, it shows the RX-1 Non-reverse and Reverse use the same part numbers for the top gear. They do not list anything under 20T, but offer a 18T for the non-reverse.

Will all the gears rwap back and forth on the top? Only reason I ask is that I usually setup for ice a couple of weeks thru January, and will probably gear about 1.95.

Can I run Non-Reverse gears in the reverse chain case, and just leave out the reverse components? Used to do this on the Doos just for short term. :4STroke:

The top gears are the same for both models, so you use the same ones. I am not sure if you can use a non reverse bottom gear without changing other components. There are other reverse gears available to change your ratio for the bottom. I know there is a 39 & 40. Possibly a 42 also.

Stock gear in rx1 will run 135 on speedo witih enough power.... their is no return to gear up for ice unless you have turbo or n20..... Stock power just can not use the gear it has... the issue for you is to gear down for trail if changing gears is what you must do..

I plan on gearing down, from the stock 1.55:1 to about 1.9:1
