Working on a 03 RX1 ER LE and wondering about a new track. I had a RX1 years back and replaced the factory track with a 1.25 Ripsaw and it was a huge improvement. The reason I replaced the factory track was because I threw a stud out and damaged the cooling exchanger. Looking at new tracks I see that some now have the studs built into the track in the paddle sections and want feedback on if anyone has had good, bad or otherwise with these. Also where to buy the new track from, thanks, John.

Good place to get tracks is Tracks USA, can't comment on the studs tho. http://www.tracksusa.com/
Looks like they have a pre-studded one here http://www.tracksusa.com/Ice-Attak-...0&browse=-47152&shopBy=-13144&catalogId=-3693
You can always call them up they are good guys.

I do a mix of groomed trail and off trail and seem to be hard on tracks when I had that sled. I averaged about 5000km on it and I had bought it used from another site member who ran it for a season in the UP and around home before he went to track with more lug. I only made 5000km on the oe ripsaw on that sled as well. I know someone else who had one on a 121 rx1 and he had over 8000km on it when I saw it last before he went doo.

i got 8500 miles on orginal ripsaw just bought same on put it on 96 studs in middle way better top end then a cobra and way more durable. One of the biggest killer on a track is heat put a big wheel kit on and make sure you dont run it to tight

On my 03 RX1 I've had 3 ripsaws and 1 nipple track. The nipple track is on my Vmax now, has been for 12 years and still no tear outs or missing lugs. Just saying.

You should really try riding on snow. It's the white stuff that falls in the winter. On my 03 RX1 I've had 3 ripsaws and 1 nipple track. The nipple track is on my Vmax now, has been for 12 years and still no tear outs or missing lugs. Just saying.
