I have an '03 shorty track. and am wondering if it would be better to replace the track with a more aggressive track or to stud my original track. I do trail riding with a lot of lake racing and do not want to limit top end. If I go with a new track what would be good: an agressive 1 incn, a 1.2 inch or a 1.25? Thanks for your input.

Lake racing as in, snow, or lake racing as in ice? The stock track with 192 studs will hook pretty well on ice. If you're concerned with snow traction and side bite for trails, a more aggressive track might help. The conical lug track is said to be great for groomed trails though...

General lake racing on snow.

You probably want to go with a 1.25 paddle. They give the best hookup on loose/torn up snow. I switched to camoplast 9833 and didn't notice any drop in speed - just way better traction in ALL conditions.
